Samsung Electronics Expands the ‘Paper-free’ System to 11,000 Services Centers WorldWide

 Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd. today announced its integrated global customer service system as part of its ongoing commitment to developing sustainable practices. The system aims to transition from the paper documentation previously provided to customers regarding their product repair, such as service records and receipts, to electronic documentation sent via message or email.

To facilitate the worldwide change towards paperless documentation, Samsung has upgraded its global service system, the Global Service Partner Network (GSPN), which will allow for electronic documentation to be sent to customers about each aspect of service they receive through an interface supported by various digital communications services around the globe. Through this significant change, Samsung’s customers will gain convenient access to their service-related information and be part of an initiative to protect the environment at the same time. 

More than 11,000 service centers in 180 countries operated by 40 Samsung Electronics subsidiaries around the world will first adopt the system. Further, Samsung plans to scale it up in the future by also replacing its entire service center’s office work documents with electronic documents for maximum impact.

Samsung’s Smart Monitor Becomes a Million Seller

 

Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd. announced that the accumulated sales of its Smart Monitor series surpassed one million devices globally, making it a million seller.

 To celebrate International Women’s Day, we asked six inspiring colleagues from Samsung Malaysia to share what motivates them and the technology that empowers them to succeed. Here are their stories. Khaizanita Binti Zakaria, Power Woman

Leading a team in a fast paced industry while managing a family requires a strong set of skills. Khaizanita understands the demands she has to meet on a daily basis and believes today’s women are amazing. “We wear so many different hats today as a worker, supervisor, team player, mom, wife, daughter, sister, friend, tax payer, hence our ability to multitask is far greater. Our lives may be split between being the loving, caring, supportive woman domestically and the leader at work,” said Khaizanita. Helping her manage work and life is the Galaxy Z Fold3 5G that lets her multitask with ease. With the Z Fold3’s Flex mode features, she can join a video call using the devices top screen while checking her meeting notes on the bottom, making her work efficiently and effectively. She understands that life experiences can shape our perspectives. “It's important to recognise that we all have different realities. My reality in urban KL is very different from the reality of a woman in rural Kelantan, for example. As much as our similarities matter, so do our differences. What I would like, moving forward, is for women to empathise with and understand each other better. Otherwise, there wouldn't be much credibility when we claim to speak or demand on behalf of women.” Emma is working on the roll-out of an exciting new product for Malaysians, which she believes will help them see their world in a different perspective, more or less. “The Freestyle is the world's first, truly personal projector. Samsung's LPDDR5X DRAM Validated for Use with Qualcomm Technologies’ Snapdragon Mobile Platforms

 Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd., the world leader in advanced memory technology, announced that Qualcomm Technologies, Inc. has validated Samsung's 14-nanometer (nm) based 16-gigabit (Gb) Low Power Double Data Rate 5X (LPDDR5X) DRAM for use on Qualcomm Technologies’ Snapdragon® mobile platforms. Since developing the industry's first 14nm-based LPDDR5X DRAM last November, Samsung has worked closely with Qualcomm Technologies to optimize its 7.5 gigabit-per-second (Gbps) LPDDR5X for use with Snapdragon mobile platforms. Delivering about 1.2 times faster speed than the 6.4Gbps LPDDR5 deployed in today’s premium smartphones, Samsung’s LPDDR5X is expected to boost the performance of ultra-high-resolution video recording as well as AI features such as voice recognition, image recognition and natural language processing in next-generation smartphones. Furthermore, by adopting advanced circuit designs as well as dynamic voltage and frequency scaling (DVFS), LPDDR5X power consumption can be reduced by approximately 20%. "The successful validation of our LPDDR5X solution for Qualcomm Technologies’ Snapdragon mobile platforms is a testament to our leadership in DRAM technology," said Jinman Han, corporate executive vice president and head of Memory Global Sales & Marketing at Samsung Electronics. sharing my thoughts and stories now is kind of hard. I need to sign in to blogger to share my thoughts and everything and facebook for pictures and all. Now , if i can have my own coolest website, it will be a great great thing i can do!!

  

I would love to have my own website for a long time. Having my own personal server to share my photos capturing the moments with my love ones, our Malaysia, places i been and food i had eat. If i am able to do it, i can share all the moments and the food i had taken. With my own website, i can add in more animation, with all the interactive banner without any restriction.

My dream is always to share the pictures I took to the world. My Malaysianfoodie.com had only pictures and food recommendation. I hope to get a chance and to host on my own to put a more informative website and to promote Malaysia to the world. I can have my food pictures and aside i can customize on the bars and more. Writing my mum old nyonya recepies is also my wish list to do.

I can put in a video on Malaysia food and the Malaysia travel places. The sound of the sea, the beautiful view of the nature with slides of pictures as like what i -phone is featuring. Recommending on places to visit in more details, with beautiful pictures and videos of Malaysia. I hope my blogs can be integrated with google earth for a simply more effect to present to the visitors as well.

Not saying on other things, C905 has everything most smartphones come with these days — support for HSDPA, Bluetooth, GPS and even WiFi, together with the applications that take advantage of the hardware.

On top of that, the C905 is also a Cyber-shot branded Sony Ericsson phone and comes with a whopping 8.1-megapixel autofocus digicam with a Xenon flash built in.


The nifty sliding mechanism of the Sony Ericsson C905 always sits flush with the rest of the phone’s body, minimising the chances of the cover catching against something in your pocket. When you consider just what Sony Ericsson has managed to pack in, it’s actually relatively small compared to most of the competition, and as you’ll soon see, this phone has a few little tricks up its sleeve as well.

The package

The C905 has quite a number of accessories packed into the box. Apart from the phone, charger and ubiquitous wired headset, you get a USB sync cable and a USB card ­reader for the Memory Stick Micro card.

All in all, a pretty good bundle.

As far as the phone functions go, the C905 is no slouch and comes with everything you’d expect from a high-end phone — HSDPA, UMTS 2100, quad-band GSM and of course support for Bluetooth headsets, etc. Call quality was good and the speakerphone function is louder and clearer than on my now aging K618i.

The C905 is a reasonably fast phone in terms of menu response — it’s not the fastest, but certainly faster than on smartphones with true operating systems. Response times are quite ­satisfactory to me and require only one or two button clicks to get to the SMS application or call and contact lists.

As I mentioned before, one thing that the C905 is not lacking is in hardware features and this deserves quite a bit of looking at.

First off, the C905 has built-in A-GPS that comes with both Google Mapsand a trial version of Wayfinder Navigatorwhich offers voice turn-by-turn navigation.

Next up is WiFi — on the ­hardware front, the WiFi on the phone works extremely well and seamlessly ­transfers between WiFi hotspots and 3G/HSDPA when you’re surfing.

The C905 produces perfectly usable pictures and is actually not bad for a phone, although as expected, ­cramming 8.1-million pixels into a sensor smaller than your thumbnail produces an image with a lot of obvious noise reduction.

While I would have liked more control of the ISO settings, the camera itself does automatically increase the ISO when shooting in low light conditions.

The Xenon flash works well and exposures were generally spot on when the flash is on.
As for GPS and the 8.1-megapixel camera well that’s just the icing on the cake. and that’s my next aim
