New Proton Car- Proton BLM ( Base Line Model)

Full size clay model of Proton BLM. This is way clearer than any spy shots posted on the internet. However, this is the clay model only. The final design might be different from this, or may look different. As someone commented before, this will be another proton best seller as the design is very good. I agree with that. Bear in mind, BLM stand for Base Line Model, means to replace current SAGA. You can read the SAGA in second picture at the number plate area. Priced at only around RM30,000.00, full size car and look quote good like this, sure it will steal a bit of viva sales.

Some of you might laid your eyes on the LG CNS Design Studio on the wall. Apparently, LG helped Proton to design the Savvy, and Proton this time asked them to design sedan of the savvy. The BLM is expected to be launched in January 2008

Andy Lau may be being generous when he declares Everyone is No. 1, but there's no question that the Canto-pop superstar is still reigning comfortably on top. Currently busy with the China leg of his Wonderful World concert tour, Andy still found time to release his latest compilation of new songs and best of hits. This three-disc release comes with one CD of Mandarin tracks and one CD of Cantonese tracks, each containing three new songs. Andy himself penned the lyrics for the new Cantonese hit "Angel Without Wings" (CD 1 - Track 2), the image song for the Ronald McDonald House Charities. The other new Canto-pop offerings are "Don't Want That Which Isn't Mine" (CD 1 - Track 3) and "Let's Scream Together" (CD 1 - Track 1).
In the Mandarin corner we have the titular Everyone is No. 1, an image song for the 2008 Beijing Olympics, and the same-titled theme songs of Andy's new films Brothers and The Warlords. This compilation also comes with 24 of Andy's No. 1 hits from recent years including favorites like "If There is a Day" (CD 1 - Track 4), "Summer Fiesta" (CD 1 - Track 11), "Seventeen Years Old" (CD 1 - Track 15), "Say I Love You One More Time" (CD 2 - Track 9), and "It's Not a Crime for a Man to Cry" (CD 2 - Track 15).

This version comes with an Andy-Lau designed Andox Figure (one of six randomly selected designs), photo booklet, and DVD with 11 never-before-released music videos.

Sandakan Sea Food Bak Kut Teh

I assure you cant find this else where except for the seafood paradise, Sandakan. If you wanna try, come and pay this store a visit. I assure you too wont regret with the bak kut teh you have in that place, considering the food, the innovative taste, the seafood and its freshness and not to forget, the reasonable price.I happened to be in this place during my last visit to the town and was brought by uni senior to this place.

It is located in a new township which Sandakan people usually call it Bandar Indah. Tho it was my first time in that shop, but definitely not my virgin taste on the seafood bak kut teh. I had it some years ago, during my uni days in Sabah.Mind you, it is not a mixture of all kind of seafood in one bowl. Instead, it is by variety. You have a choice to choose a few, namely fish bak kut teh, prawns bak kut teh, meat ball bak kut teh and so on.

Queensbay Dragon-I

Recently, they open a branch in Queensbay Mall, Penang ( Queensbay third floor) and I decide to give them a second chance. Surprisingly, the wait staffs here in Penang are extremely attentive, fast and accomodating. They receive a thumb up. The place is crowded but the service was fast. I was there early so I did not have to wait.

I love the cosy corner with these low sofas and lots of cushions. Since it is very new, the cushions are all cushy and great for hugging. But I wonder what condition they will be like in a few month? Hmmm..so, go to Dragon-i faster and enjoy it now. A trip to Dragon-i is incomplete without a bowl of la mein or hand pulled noodles. I like it plain. A bowl costs RM8 and I can taste the flavours of Chinese ham in it. In case you have not seen a Chinese ham, it is this huge, dried and preserved whole pork’s leg. The pork leg is VERY HUGE and sold for several hundreds RM. A little bit like prosciutto. It is very nice when make into stock but unfortunately, they don’t sell the Chinese ham in small portions. The only choice I get is the canned ones which go for about RM20+ from specialised shops. The size of the tin is like the luncheon meat. Very expensive but it is worth it if you know how to make delicious stock.

If you have not been to Dragon-i, well, it is a cosy place. There are lots of small dishes to sample and plenty of spicy foods too, if you prefer something hot. The above is a plate of thick slabs of duck’s meat, crispy crunchy soya skin, honey glazed lotus seeds and not in the picture steam pancake. It is meant to wrap the duck’s meat and the other stuffs. Quite an enjoyable dish.

PTPTN

Nowadays very thing had becoming online.. so for those who had borrow PTPTN, it is reminnded to pay them.. i had discover that PTPTN loan are based on monthly repayment charges for its loan. For those who are unaware .. the interest is becoming higher when you don pay them for a month..
Lets say:
u owe PTPN - 100 and make the interest is 10% fr easy calculation
Jan- 100 + 10 % = 110 .. if u din pay so it will be 110 + 10% and its continuous....
so if u pay.. the interest will be lesser and lesser when months comes..
Beware so .. pay your PTPN monthly so u can reduce ur monthly interest..
Visit: http://www.ptptn.gov.my/web/guest/anjung
for more details on PTPTN and check your PTPN

Rojak

Rojak means "wild mix" in Malay, and is often used to refer to Singapore's diverse racial mix. Rojak is a punchy and piquant local salad of fresh fruit and vegetables such as sweet turnips, pineapples, cucumber, bean sprouts and unripe mango. These are cut into bite-sized portions and tossed in a bowl with dried soya bean cakes (called 'taupok' by the locals) and fried dough fritters (also known as 'youtiao'). With deft hand movements, all of this is mixed into a unique dressing of fermented prawn paste, fresh ground chilli, sugar, lime juice and roasted peanuts.
The devil is in the details - the best Rojak stalls include tiny slivers of fresh calamansi rind and wild ginger bud to create an even more aromatic and tasty salad.
There are many places selling Rojak in Penang. You can find the rojak store along Gurney Drive as well as in New World Park.

Muar Chee

There are some Chinese snacks which the other races should copy. Because they are so tasty and easy to make. For e.g. the muar chee.
Muar Chee is made from glutinuous rice paste, steamed. And then, it is cut into small cubes and mixed with grounded, roasted peanuts and sugar. One can choose whether to add some fried onions on top too. Muar chee stalls are found outside the bigger schools, along Gurney Drive and few other markets. One of them is outside the St. Xavier primary school. It cost RM1 for a small packet. Its also very hardly found now in Penang. Now, it is really hard to find. From what i like is in Gurney Drive as well as behind One Stop Midlands.

Ice CreamSteamboat

IceIce Baby (Autocity) version which is served with fresh fruits, bread and cake. A pot of melted cheese and a plate of accompaniments cost RM26.50++ which is enough for two persons. We had a great time taking shots and also enjoying our ’snacks’ dipping into the cheese and our fruits dipping into the chocolate. Overall, try for first time, not for second time. Whoever never been there before, plan your time to try the cheese fondue or chocolate fondue there. There is a choice of melted chocolate or melted cheese.

Strawberries- cancer prevention

Even though strawberries exhibit great nutritional benefits, they are not a complete food.Strawberries provide an excellent source of vitamins C and K, fiber, and flavonoids. They also offer a very good source of vitamin B1, iodine, manganese, and pantothenic acid. Strawberries are also a good source of vitamin B6, folic acid, and biotin. The flavonoids contained in strawberries are responsible for most of their health benefits. Like other berries, strawberries' anthocyanidins are their most powerful flavonoids. Anthocyanidins are also responsible for the vibrant red color of strawberries. Studies have shown that due to Strawberries' unique flavonoid content, they are effective in protecting against inflammation, heart disease, and cancer.

Malaysia RM 50 new note

Bank Negara Malaysia is issuing a new RM50 note, the second highest denomination in a new design Malaysian currency notes series (3rd series). The new series incorporate new security features and retain some of the existing security features to deter counterfeiting. The new series will circulate alongside the existing series until the existing series are gradually phased out.

The theme of the new series, "Wawasan 2020" reflects Malaysia's economic development and achievement towards a fully developed country. For the RM50 denomination, the background motif depicts the mining sector. This is represented by a central oil drilling platform together with wellhead control valves. In the background are images of oil pipes - symbolic of the many branches of the oil industry. The new series will also use RM as the currency symbol for the Malaysian Ringgit.

The security features of the RM50 denomination are highlighted here as a guide to the public. These features include the security thread with the repeated "BNM RM50" text, three-dimensional watermark portrait, optical variable strip known as "LEAD®", anticopy feature known as "PEAK®" and security fibres in the paper. The new RM50 note retains the green and blue predominant colours of the existing design RM50 note. The size of the note is also slightly reduced to facilitate easier handling and to be consistent with size reduction of other denominations in the new series. The intaglio (raised printing) of the portrait of the first Seri Paduka Baginda Yang di-Pertuan Agong is retained as a dominant feature.

Wong Kok Pasteries

An Egg Tart is a typical fare of Hong Kong cha chaan teng. Hong Kong-style egg tarts have two main varieties, divided according to the type of the outermost layer or crust: Butter Flavoured Shortcrust Pastry & Puff Pastry. The Puff Pastry type has an extremely crisp texture and is regarded as the most traditional and correct form of of egg tart by food critics. Today's egg tarts come in many variations due to Hongkongers' eagerness to try almost anything. These include egg white tarts, milk tarts, honey-egg tarts, ginger juice-flavored egg tarts, chocolate tarts and even "birds' nest" tarts. Besides the egg tart, other pasteries like Pork Tark and other tarts are yummy as well
It has been my favorite ever since i found this Wong KOk.. the Food is not just superb.. and u cant believe that all he pastries sold off very fast not even 7 pm... wau.. i mosli cant find wat i want unless i went earli morning to grab them. Delicious .. yum yum

Golden BBQ Steamboat Restaurant

Golden BBQ Steamboat Restaurant located along Nagore Street is a buffet style steamboat restaurant. Besides steamboat, you can also fry or barbecue food on the round pan beside the pot. Most restaurants that offer this style of steamboat are usually eat all you can for a fixed priceIt is very easy to find this place. Just look for the largest restaurant in that area, which links three double storey shop house. Business is brisk and the restaurant would be crowded with customers usually by night.

The selection of food is pretty good here, because they have to make up for both steamboat and BBQ. Although most of the food here are fish balls, seasoned meat and vegetable you will still find some seafood (cockles, kapah, prawns and mantis prawns! if you are lucky) The only gripe I have is the freshness of the seafood.. The prawns are soggy when cooked.. nothing is worse than that. Anyway, the seafood’s freshness was quite expected for a buffet styled steamboat.
Here, the charge is RM18 nett for adult and RM9 for children. I thought it was very reasonably priced. Golden BBQ Steamboat has a website at Golden BBQ Penang so make sure you check it out if interested!

Satay

Satay (spelled as sate in both Indonesian and Malay and the Netherlands) is a dish consisting of chunks or slices of dice-sized meat (chicken, goat, mutton, beef, pork, fish, etc.) on bamboo skewers. These are grilled over a wood or charcoal fire, then served with various spicy seasonings (depends on satay recipe variants).
Satay may have originated in Java or Sumatra, Indonesia, but it is also popular in many other Southeast Asian countries, such as: Malaysia, Singapore, Philippines, and Thailand, as well as in The Netherlands which was influenced through its former colonies.
Satay is a very popular delicacy in Indonesia, with a rich variety among Indonesia’s diverse ethnic groups’ culinary art (see Cuisine of Indonesia). In Indonesia, satay can be obtained from a traveling satay vendor, from a street-side tent-restaurant, in an upper-class restaurant, or during traditional celebration feasts. In Malaysia, satay is a popular dish - especially during celebrations - and can be found throughout the country. A close analog in Japan is yakitori. Shish kebab from Turkey and sosaties from South Africa are also similar to satay.
Although recipes and ingredients vary from country to country, satay generally consists of chunks or slices of meat on bamboo or coconut-leaf-spine skewers, grilled over a wood or charcoal fire. Turmeric is often used to marinate satay and gives it a characteristic yellow color. Meats used include: beef, mutton, pork, venison, fish, shrimp, squid, chicken, and even tripe. Some have also used more exotic meats, such as turtle, crocodile, and snake meat.
It may be served with a spicy peanut sauce dip, or peanut gravy, slivers of onions and cucumbers, and ketupat.
Pork satay can be served in a pineapple-based satay sauce or cucumber relish, to be eaten only by non-Muslims. I love Satayas from a few places. There is 2 satay stalls at RElau that attracts me as well another one will be in Teluk Kumbar " HaU penG you".. the one in Relau will be one is in opposite Pisa that is very nice.

J.Co DonUtS

J.CO Donuts is actually a chain from Indonesia, often criticized for copying the style of the even-more-famous Krispy Kreme (from the States but have a few shops in Indonesia) and doing a very good job at it. The first time i had my first j.Co donuts is at Pavillion at KL. It really attracts me .. why.. ?? something special on the one i have before.. wow.. is so colorful.. and it really attract me by its colors and flavours.. is yummy.. isn't it?? don it looks like dat..

The donuts were sweet, and to be fair, pretty good. The fillings were generous, and the dough very soft and airy, they have a very nice bite to it and does not fill up the stomach too quickly. My favorite would be the original glazed donut, and although I prefer Krispy Kreme’s version that has a slightly crunchier texture, this one is plenty good too.

Lorong Selamat Char Koay Teow

Lorong Selamat I is one of best Char Kuey Teow (Fried Rice Noodles) I have ever eaten. Unlike a normal hawker stall in a coffeeshop/streetside, you have to line up under the host sun in order to buy your kuey teow. The line will depend on the our you stop by the store. After obtaining your plate of kuey teow, then you could find some seat and order your drinks.
What you get from this is a mouth watering plate of Char Kuey Teow with big prawns, siham (cockles), port lard, taugee (bean sprout), and chilie paste all cooked onto of a hot charcoal.

A plate cost rm5.50 (3 prawns) but there is a special which cost rm8 (5 prawns)

Benefits of Aloe Vera

Aloe vera (syn. A. barbadensis Mill., A. vulgaris Lam.) is a species of Aloe, native to northern Africa. It is a stemless or very short-stemmed succulent plant growing to 80-100 cm tall, spreading by offsets and root sprouts. The leaves are lanceolate, thick and fleshy, green to grey-green, with a serrated margin. The flowers are produced on a spike up to 90 cm tall, each flower pendulous, with a yellow tubular corolla 2-3 cm long.

It has been found Aloe Vera have many usage in life that had caught my attention to get to know them better. Aloe vera has been used externally to treat various skin conditions such as cuts, burns and eczema. It is alleged that sap from Aloe vera eases pain and reduces inflamation. Evidence on the effects of Aloe vera sap on wound healing, however, is contradictory.A study performed in the 1990s showed that the healing time of a moderate to severe burn was reduced when the wound was treated on a regular basis with Aloe vera gel, compared to the healing of the wound covered in a gauze bandage. In contrast, another study suggested wounds to which Aloe vera gel was applied were significantly slower to heal

Aloe vera's beneficial properties may be attributed to mucopolysaccharides present in the inner gel of the leaf, especially acemannan (acetylated mannans). An injectable form of acemannan manufactured and marketed by Carrington Laboratories as Acemannan Immunostimulant™ has been approved in the USA for treatment of fibrosarcoma (a type of cancer) in dogs and cats after clinical trials. It has not been approved for use by humans, and, although it is not a drug, its sale is controlled and it can only be obtained through a veterinary doctor.
Cosmetic companies add sap or other derivatives from Aloe vera to products such as makeup, tissues, moisturisers, soaps, sunscreens, shampoos and lotions, though the effectiveness of Aloe vera in these products remains unknown. Aloe vera gel is also alleged to be useful for dry skin conditions, especially eczema around the eyes and sensitive facial skin[citation needed].
An article published in the British Journal of General Practice suggests that Aloe vera is effective at treating athlete's foot[citation needed].
Whether or not it promotes wound healing is unknown, and even though there are some promising results, clinical effectiveness of oral or topical Aloe vera remains unclear at present.
Aloe vera juice may help some people with ulcerative colitis, an inflammatory bowel disease. Side effects can occur and consulting a doctor before ingesting any form of aloe vera, including aloe vera juice, is highly recommended.

Penang Tau Sah Pneah

Penang tau sar peah is legendary and spoken of in the same breath as Kuala Kangsar's pau (dumpling) and Kampar's chicken biscuits. Indeed, conversations about Penang food inevitably turns to the celebrated Penang tau sar peah. For Penangites who workoutside the state (and even those who live overseas) and return for periodic sojourns to their beloved hometown, the tau sar peah is invariably among the items that line their bags when they depart.
Traditionally, the tau sar actually refers to the red bean paste found in the cookies. The red beans are cooked with sugar until they become mushy and turn a shade of very dark magenta. But given the several varieties of peah (biscuit/cookie) on the market, the term tau sar is also confusingly used to describe the whitish green pea paste, or pek tau sar. Then there's the mung bean variety, or lek tau and also lotus bean paste. In Penang, tau sar peah is synonymous with Tambun peah as both are made from the same core ingredients, but differ slightly in shape.
Either way, you are assured of cookies that are delightfully mouth-watering and delicious.
When buying tau sar peah, try and get a batch that's fresh out of the oven. Although the cookies retain their freshness for several days without refrigeration, it is when they are still warm that eating them becomes an incomparable experience.
Although purists will tell you that the best tau sar peah is made with lard, there are equally tasty varieties made with vegetable oil. There is even a halal (permitted by Islam) variety for Muslims and a vegetable-based one for vegetarians. The best way to get fresh tau sar peah is to pre-order, sometimes even days before your arrival in Penang. One of my choice which have a very nice taste will be the Ghee Hiang. Ghee Hiang not only famous for the tau sa peah but also others like loh poh peng.

Friendships Of Life..

Everyone should have a friend like you

You are so much fun to be with

And you are such a good person

You crack me up with laughter

And touch my heart with your kindness

You have a wonderful ability

To know when to offer advice

And when to sit in quiet support

Time after time

You've come to my rescue

And brightend so many

Of my routine days

And time after time

I've realized how fortunate

I am that my life includes you

I really do believe that

Everybody should have a friend like you

But so far it looks like

You are one of a kind!

The Drive of Life" (歲月風雲)

"The Drive of Life" (Chinese: 歲月風雲) is a TVB 60-episode Grand production, specially filmed to celebrate the 10th Anniversary of The Handover of Hong Kong back to Mainland China from Great Britain 1997-2007. It is a joint production of TVB (Hong Kong) and CCTV (Mainland China). The theme of the series revolves around the automobile industry in China. Told in flashback from 1994, the ups and downs and transformations that Hong Kong has been experiencing before and after the handover is used as a narrative device. The series has finished airing in Hong Kong (airing started on July 16th, 2007).

The series was filmed in Hong Kong, Beijing, Ningbo, and Vancouver from early October 2006 until May 2007. The automobiles featured in the series are from Geely Automobile.

The story is about Wah Man-Hon ( Lau Chung Yan, Damian ), Wah Man-Hung (Liao Jing Sheng) and Wah Man-Shek (Miu Kiu Wai) were all born in mainland China. But as a result of the massive political upheaval and the profound misunderstanding among them, the three brothers have fallen out and now live apart in Hong Kong, Beijing and Canada respectively.

Hon’s business goes down the pan in the aftermath of the Asian Financial Turmoil. The only saving grace is that members of the Wah's from around the world, including Hon’s son Wah Chun-Bong ( Lam, Raymond ) and Hung’s son Wah Chun-Man (Feng Shao Feng), can finally put their prejudice aside and become reconciled with one another. To realize the century-old dream of the family, they decide to work together to develop the local automobile industry. After ten years of struggle, the Wahs have established its own brand of limousine – a brand the whole Chinese nation is proud of. They make a significant and ongoing contribution to China’s automobile industry for they believe that only cars of our own will take us to a better future.

For those haven been, maybe you will be interested in Sabah le.. a nice trip. Is a very nice intro on Sabah by Henley and Siau Yuen.. hehe..

Nicholas Teo- Prince

Though this album is released a bit long liao.. i think on July.. i love this album so much.. so us good for me to review them for those fans that haven buy this album yet.

Nicholas Teo is trying to get rid of his boy-next-door image through this album. He has tried and attempted new styles, but not completely off his image. For those who have always been into his ballads, it still takes up a major part of this album so no worries, and for those who have been looking for new things, there are a few tracks which may keep you exicted. The first track 游戏 is something i, personally, would never expect coming from Nicholas Teo, basing it on his previous albums, which were all very soothing ballads. 游戏 has a relatively quicker tempo as compared to the rest of the songs in the album. It is a total different from the classic Nicholas Teo. Personally, i like this track quite a bit. Although there is this bit whereby he just repeats the same thing over and over again (which is quite similar to Mayday’s 为爱而生), i think it has quite a great impact and brings out the 游戏 feeling, leaving me feeling really light-hearted after listening to it.

The 2nd track, 错了再错,brings back the Nicholas Teo we are all familiar with, although i personally would say i prefer the ballads in his previous albums, like 当你孤单你会想起谁 and 痛彻心扉. This song is at most slightly above average. It is really safe, but yet not as good as the other ballads. I personally dislike the bridge. Somehow it spoils the whole song for me.
Next up is 王子, the first hit of the album. A very obvious change, the first time he tried rapping, and yet i would say he did a pretty good job on this song, although i personally think the rapping was really forced. i mean it could have been done without, but just added in for him to try it out. He managed to nicely show the arrogance, the i-do-what-i-want attitude, and yet not make people irritated at the arrogance.

幸福的理由is the next track. it started off good for me. but after the 2nd line of the chorus, the whole image of it just fell. it did get slightly better after listening to it for a few times, but the thing about the song is that once you actually start thinking that it sounds quite alright, there has to be something to spoil the impression of it. 如果 and 陌路 brings you back to the old Nicholas Teo once again. The difference is that these songs are the kinds where you would like them more and more, after listening to it a few times over, unlike those which you would like after listening to it once through. I really enjoy the chorus of 如果. and 陌路just sounded good. as compared to 错了再错,i would say i prefer this 2 songs. they are really safe too, but i personally think it was a better job done, in terms of composing, the bringing out of emotions and the end product.

Track 7, Super Idol. Quite up-beat, but i personally didnt really enjoy the start, but as it went on, it got on quite well. It didnt sound that bad, but not that good either. i would say, slightly below average.

Track 8, 其实幸福很简单. another ballad, but really soothing and has the calming effect, makes you forget everything else. although there are parts where it sounds really strange, the remaining of the song covers up for it. It is close to my favourite track in the album. Track 9, 相信. the verses are good, the chorus fitted in, but the chorus didnt sound that good, to the extent that it sounded weird. However i would say that the overall effect is quite good, though it carries the same kind of atmosphere as quite a number of the previous songs. For people who need variety, they should be quite bored by this track.

The 2nd last track, 晚安,宝贝. the prelude brings back childhood memories, where you listen to lullabies every night before sleeping. it is really really soothing. If you would just close your eyes and let the song fill the whole room, you would really enjoy it. It isnt to the extent whereby you will fall asleep, but it really helps to relax. And the last track 北极星的眼泪. It was the theme song for the drama 微笑Pasta, and also recorded in the OST. this is a really wonderful ballad. It is like his normal ballads, like 当你孤单你会想起谁and 只因为你. for those who enjoyed those ballads, you would enjoy this song too. Currently it remains my favourite song in the album.

Overall, i would say it is a good attempt to get rid of his image, with songs like 王子 and 游戏. but other than that, the style is really repeated. It is a good album, but there is not much variety in it, other than a few attempts to steer away from his image. However, i will have to say that i personally enjoyed this album more than his first 2. Generally, i did enjoy the album, and would rate it a 9 out of 10.
