PENANG CITY HALL, PENANG

City Hall is a municipal building in George Town, Penang, which was formerly the seat of the City Council of George Town.
Originally built in 1903 as the Municipal Office, Penang, the building was erected at a cost of $100,000 to relieve demand for office space at the adjacent Town Hall, which then took on a more social function. Both buildings stand in front of the Padang on Esplanade Road.

Kek Lok Si (极乐寺), Penang

he Kek Lok Si Temple (极乐寺) is one of the famous attraction in Penang and itr is named under the name - "Temple of Supreme Bliss". Kek Lok Si is situated in Air Itam, a suburb of Georgetown. You can make that by local bus from the Komtar, but you can also make it by taxi.

PINANG PERANAKAN MANSION, PENANG

At the Pinang Peranakan Mansion, the typical home of a rich Baba of a century ago is recreated to offer a glimpse of their opulent lifestyle and of their many customs and traditions. With over 1,000 pieces of antiques and collectibles of the era on display, this Baba-Nyonya museum is also housed in one of Penang’s heritage mansion of eclectic design and architecture.

My explorer in Penang Times Square

Penang Times Square is the latest shopping centre and commercial centre which is located at George Town, Penang. It was opened in October 2009. The site is built on what is formerly the Escoy Smelting Company, it is located along Jalan Dato Kramat and just a stone's throw away from KOMTAR.

One of the construction proposals is the inclusion of a monorail station in the shopping centre, in line of a government proposal to connect the east side of the island with the Penang Monorail service in the near future. But it is no longer available and we do not know whether it will be built, or not.

 

 

  

This time, we went there for a photography around the area where you can see the beautiful lighting of the Christmas tree there

Day 2 – Penang Trip

Today, we din go much places as our focus will be in town and wat we plan for is food. Today plan is having nice food and buying some local delights back to KL .

The journey was around the town area where we will be on some nice places of Penang which are being categorizes by UNESCO as a historical places. So, I brought them around the corners of the streets..and this time we manage to meet a long time no see friend, Lean Wooi. Is our second trip to Kek Lok Si as Guan wana get some things there but is a failure.

So we went up to a higher places of the Kek Lok SI for jalan jalan and take some group pictures as well together.

and after that we went to Botanical Garden and have an evening walk and at night we had a steamboat buffet spree.. and is oishi.. and delighting. OISHI………

15 May 2009 – Kek Lok Si Trip, Wat Chayamangkalaram and Burmese Temple Trip

Our trip to Penang .. is my first trip to Penang with dear and other coursemate who is Ban Hock and Tse Guan. Taking the bus of 11:59 from Transnasional… we arrived in Pudu and have our meeting at the opposite of Pudu Bas Station KFC..The bus on time reached at the stesen at 11:59 and we headed back to Penang. The jouney take us about 5 hours and being a bus taker always. I prepared a little comforter to comfort my self and dear of the extreme mid night journey back .. and we reached Penang at about 5am.

We arrived at Penang and back to my house for a rest before heading to Air Itam Market for Nyonya Curry Mee as well as journey up Kek Lok Si. The journey around there is taking me up to the temples for sight seeing and more.. and then we did snap pictures around there.

After the journey at Kek Lok Si, we also went to the 2 famous Siam and Burmese temple along Pulau Tikus.
and we did snap some picture as well Guan and Hock did some praying.. and we den check in the hotel

After our lunch, we check in the hotel and have some rest and later we went for more shopping and makan spree in Penang till at night. We also manage to watched a midnight movie- Angel and Demon is Mega Pavillion at Prangin Mall.. and that’s a day
